Tajin Crispy Snacking Chickpeas
Tajin is LITERALLY good on everything and I’m borderline obsessed with it right now. It has a zesty lime flavor that just wakes up any dish so I figured it would make a bland chickpea really pop! Tajin can be found at most grocery stores in the spice isle.

Ingredients
- 15oz can Chickpeas/garbanzo beans
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 2 tbsp tajin
- Pinch salt
- Fresh lime zest
Instructions
- Drain your chickpeas in a strainer. Pour onto a paper towel lined baking sheet and continue to pat them dry until they’re totally dry. This will create a crispier snack. If you have the time allow them to air dry for an hour or two.
- Once the chickpeas are dried, toss them in a bowl with the avocado oil and your tajin. Toss well until the chickpeas are fully coated.
- In a single layer, place the chickpeas in the basket of the air fryer and air fry at 400F for 15 minutes. After 10 minutes you can give the basket a shake.
- Taste for crispiness and saltiness. If you need to go an extra 5 minutes, then do so. Depending on how dry you get the chickpeas depends on how long they will take to get crispy.
- Remove from air fryer and put into a bowl if serving immediately or in an airtight container. I like to give them a final sprinkle of tajin, lime zest, and a pinch of salt right when they come out and are still warm.
