Ingredients
- 2 green apples
- ½ lemon
- 1 11.9-ounce bag of milk chocolate
- 1 tbsp neutral oil (coconut, vegetable, etc.)
- 1 cup caramels (melted)
- 1 ½ cup pretzels
- sea salt
Instructions
- Dice apples and put them into a bowl or container. Juice the lemon and toss the apple pieces in the juice.
- Allow apples to set in the fridge for 2-3 hours.
- In a bag, smash pretzels into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, combine chocolate and oil. Melt in the microwave in 30-second increments. Stir after each increment until fully melted.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the melted chocolate over the sheet and spread until the pan is completely covered.
- Then add the pretzel pieces and apples. Drizzle the top with the melted caramels and sprinkle with sea salt until fully coated.
- Set in the fridge until the chocolate hardens. Then break the bark into pieces and enjoy!
TIPS
- It is best to eat this recipe the day it’s made. The bark slightly softens as it sits.
- You can use the microwave or the stovetop to melt your caramels.
- The lemon juice helps keep the apples from browning once they are diced
