Cheese makes me happy and when its melted it makes me even more happy. This easy to make, easy to travel appetizer is going to be perfect for the holiday season. It oozes with flavor and will have the house smelling like apple pie.

Baked Brie with Apples and Salted Caramel

Ingredients


  • 8oz French brie
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 large apple chopped
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp store-bought salted caramel
  • Sea Salt
  • Heinen’s crisp crackers

Instructions


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place the wheel of brie on a baking dish that has been lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  2. While the brie is baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan. Add the chopped apples and brown sugar. Cook until the apples are soft, approximately 4-5 minutes.
  3. Remove the brie from the oven and carefully move to a serving dish. Pour the sauteed apples over the brie. Drizzle with the salted caramel sauce. Sprinkle with sea salt. Serve warm with crispy crackers of your choice.

Tips

  • If you cannot find salted caramel sauce, simple buy regular caramel sauce and sprinkle sea salt over-top.
