Ingredients
- 1lb ground beef
- Salt and pepper
- 8 slices of deli salami
- 4 slices of white American cheese
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1 tomato cut into slices
- ¼ white onion thinly sliced
- 4 hamburger buns
- 8 tbsp mayo
- Deli/sub dressing
Instructions
- Shape 4 burgers out of your 1lb ground beef. Season with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Preheat the grill to 450-500° F while you prepare your other ingredients.
- Shred your lettuce, cut your tomato, and thinly slice your white onion. If you do not want your onion strong and crunchy, you can slice them the night before.
- Grill the burgers for 3-4 minutes on each side or until they’re done to your liking. I like medium-rare to medium. If you like them more done, increase the cooking time.
- While the burger is grilling, grill your salami and buns. You just want the buns slightly toasted about 1-2 minutes. The salami you want slightly crispy on the edges so you will want it to cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side. Once done set aside next to grill.
- Prepare your bottom bun by smearing 1 tablespoon of mayo and topping it with shredded lettuce, tomato, and some white onion. Drizzle the LTO with your sub dressing.
- In the last minute of grilling, top your burger with the cheese and allow it to melt. Once melted, top with your crispy salami. Remove from grill and place on bottom bun.
- Smear the top bun with another tablespoon of mayo.
- You can drizzle your top bun with more sub dressing if desired. Top your burger with the bun and devour!!
