Ingredients
- 1 store-bought pizza dough
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- ¼ lb sliced deli salami
- 1 ½ cups of shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out your pizza dough with a rolling pin into a rectangle about (10”x20”). This does not need to be exact.
- Spread a nice thin layer of Dijon mustard all over the entire surface of the dough.
- Place your salami overtop the Dijon, followed by the shredded cheese.
- Roll the dough up by starting in the center and gently work your way out to the edges. Be sure to keep all the cheese tucked inside. You must be sure to give the ends a good tuck and seal so that the cheese does not melt out. Using some water and your fingers, pinch the ends together of the roll to itself, using the water as the sealant.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Once you remove your roll from the oven, allow it to slightly cool (5-10 minutes) before slicing. This will ensure the cheese doesn’t totally melt out.
- Slice and serve. This is good warm or at room temperature.
