  • 1 pint fresh strawberries
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ lime juice + more for rim and garnish
  • 1 ½ oz blanco tequila
  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • 1 fresh jalapeno sliced thin + more for garnish
  • Salt for rim

  1. Take your fresh strawberries and remove the green top. Place in blender with sugar and allow to blend until smooth. Pour into a small container and set aside.
  2. Fill your shaker with ice. Add in 2oz of your strawberry puree, juice from half a lime, the tequila, Cointreau, and the thinly slice jalapenos (I recommended only using a few slices, so you don’t overtake the flavor of the strawberry). Vigorously shake for 30 seconds.
  3. Run a slice of lime around the rim of your glass then dip your glass into salt.
  4. Fill your glass halfway with ice.
  5. Pour the contents of your shaker into the glass.
  6. Garnish with a strawberry and a slice of a jalapeno.

  • You will get 4 drinks out of the strawberry puree.
  • Taste your puree for sweetness. I do not like my drinks too sweet so if you do, simply add another tablespoon or two of sugar.
